Dear Families and Community Members, 

I am Mrs. Avery Steele, and it is a privilege to serve as the Assistant Principal at Bessemer Elementary. I am deeply committed to promoting collaboration, establishing strong relationships, and recognizing the remarkable efforts of our staff and students. I eagerly anticipate supporting our school community this year.  

Throughout my educational journey I have attended NC A&T SU, UNCG, Gardner Webb, and High Point University. My educational capacities consist of various roles including working in ACES, Teacher Assistant, Elementary Teacher, Curriculum Facilitator, Multi-Classroom Leader, and currently, Assistant Principal. My educational philosophy is rooted in the belief that every child has the capacity to learn and grow.  

Beyond my responsibilities in school leadership, I take pleasure in traveling and spending time with family. I am enthusiastic about continuing to learn alongside you, hearing your aspirations for our school, and fostering a vibrant and joyful school culture where every child will progress.
